Creativity Recharge Zonetm
On-site Art Studio
Connection through Creativity
Making art is fun, challenging, stimulating and calming. Creating something new causes positive change in our bodies, minds, and spirits, which helps us stay in the zone, and enables us to better cope with stressors at work and at home.
Benefits of an on-site art studio:
Team Building Programs
Basic painting or mixed-media lesson
Everyone learns to paint together. Two-hours of step-by-step instruction.
Express the values of your organization
Identify the top 3-5 values of your team or organization. Break into small teams and assign one value to each team, who will create a painting to reflect their interpretation of the corporate value they have been assigned.
Connect through art: Round-robin painting
Each participant begins the session by painting on a canvas. After 10 minutes, everyone moves to the left, where they "take over" the painting in progress. This continues for four - six "rounds" or until all paintings have been completed.
The science behind the art
Our bodies experience a physical response when we create.
Community Outreach
Some of the artwork created by employees might be displayed on the office walls, donated to local hospitals and/or auctioned off online (to benefit charity), or would be displayed and sold at an annual art auction and benefit GALA.
Underlying Magic
Making art just makes us feel good.

The science behind the art
Our bodies experience a physical response when we create.
- Creating an artistic piece helps individuals cope with daily pressures or extreme situations.
- Individuals who make art become more relaxed, focused, and creative at work.
- To help control high blood pressure or other stress-related illnesses, doctors often suggest self-expression through art.
- Michael Samuels, MD, states that there is a "direct connection between making art and increased brain function. "
- When we create something, we give it our undivided attention. The clay, paint, or paper lifts us above our problems so we can take a mental break and return to our jobs refreshed and energized and ready to tackle whatever comes our way.
